April summary

Halfterm holidays and the boys took part in a Hovercraft project. The big one loved the assembly and use of some old remote car engines. It wasn't quite working, but more importantly they had fun and got something to work.

There was a little competition in one of the bookstores and our big boy drew a fabulous picture of Daddy as a superhero. Let's see if it will be getting used during father's day at the bookstore.

The kids had lots of fun at Easter finding the hidden chocolates and easter eggs. The big boy also loved blowing the eggs and colouring them. And Mama's Eierschecke even worked! What a happy Easter!

The little one is picking up some more words, albeit slower than we wished: "pilinha", "dino",

The football end of season is coming up soon and another win 7-5 and the big boy scored!!!

Mama this month hit a wall. I have now stopped feeding the little one at night. For nearly two years I fed him every 3 hours at night and needed normality. The transition was not as bad as we expected it and we all sleep much better. Mummy and daddy feel a little more human again. The little one is not sleeping through but waking maybe only once needing a 10 minute hug. That's totally achievable.

Now that the little one is running so much faster his big brother is really enjoying playing with him. Lots of fighting going on, but also lots of collaboration and support. They play together with cars, footballs, running, hiding, sitting quietly together and cuddling... but also kicking, biting, scratching pushing, pulling. The little one also loves going for walks with Daddy, while he pushes him on his bike. Pedalling so far only works backwards, but this will improve. However, he loves being on a scooter.
The little one is also slowing learning how to entertain himself. He loves playing with puzzles, trains and cars.

At school the big brother was invited to join the Book Bug club. He's one of the boys who reads most in school, and he's brilliant giving us lots of joy. He also took part in a BBC Radio 2 story writing competition. Well done!

The warm weather is coming and hopefully we can go playing outside, but hay fever is causing daddy the annual trouble. Thankfully meds are helping him.

The little one is also getting more confident on the stairs. Not much longer and we can remove the stairgates. Wohoo!
