Summary March

Welcome Spring! So lovely to have sunshine and warmth again!

Haha... the baby is just going through the phase of answering every question with "Nao!" which causes a lot of laughter and jokes.

It is brilliant for us to see how the two of them interact and play together. Even though they fight quite a bit for toys and attention they also have lovely times of being caring and loving to each other. Just today they were playing catch around the couch for ages and laughing and having fun all along.

For the first time ever I cut the big boy's hair and I am happy to announce it did not result in a disaster. :-) Just need to convince the little one to feel relaxed having his hair cut.

It's Easter Holidays and the boys get to spend some more time together. The big boy is taking care of his daddy and brother by making them fruit salads. He's cutting them very well but we do have a couple of plaster episodes.

The little one is finalizing his teeth! Just another 4 molars to go and the set is complete. But oh my gosh.... the nappies, the rashes, the sleepless nights.... He did manage to have one night of 7 hrs continuous sleep.... that's only 1 though in a month... all other nights were between 2-4hrs sleep sessions.

The big brother is very confident at school and happily socialising and interacting with his mates. Now that he is trying to speak about more complex thoughts, his German is not up to scratch and he's increasingly using English Grammar. Mama needs to help him to improve his sentence structures. Papa now speaks to the big boy like an adult too, so we are hoping his 2 languages will further improve. Reading in both Portuguese and German helps too.
Language number 1 at home is Portuguese at the moment, since Mommy is out most of the day working. But that works fine for us at this point until our situation changes again.

Daddy was immensely proud of the big boy during the last football match. According to daddy he was very well composed and concentrated. He controlled his game, had nice moves, changes of direction, dribbling, running, nice passes - a really good midfielder.

Daddy is teaching the little one to pedal on the baby bike. He finally manages to reach the pedals with his feet. He pedals backwards quite nicely. Soon, he will move on his own. He loves sitting on his bike being pushed with a broom stick attached to the bike. They went to the garage together to pick up the Passat from the MOT and he immediately recognised the Passat on top of the big jack. He wasn't too happy what was done to the car.

The little one also understands quite complex communication with him, even if he is far from talking properly. Chatting however, he does constantly, at full volume. He loves his books and wants to show you all pictures.

For a long time the big boy was trying very hard to get to the top of one specific climbing frame/net tower. And finally he managed to achieve just that! What a happy and joyous boy!
