July Summary

June has passed so quickly and the little one is now toddling confidently. He is also listening to instructions and following. Best is his confident "nah"! when he doesn't want or like something. It makes all of us laugh.

He even slept a couple of nights 4hrs in a row, but generally still rubbish. He has 7 teeth and is suffering with this number 8 one. No sign of it yet though. Thankfully his MMR vaccination did not affect him too much. Chickenpox still to come though.

He really dislikes hats, but we are trying to praise and make him laugh as soon as he wears one. Slowly this is taking effect.
He loves his food and will try anything.

He has also figured out how to ride on his little truck. The first few times backwards only but now also forwards.

The big brother has now finished year 1 at school and is enjoying his summer holidays. His school report was a joy to read and we hope that his success will continue.
He made great friends in our new neighbourhood. They are quite often drawing together and it is remarkable how detailed the pictures are now becoming.
We have been keeping up with the nighttime reading and he has now read his first children's "novel" or rather a longer story with less pictures. He really liked the story about Aristotle the cat and his 9 lives living with the witch.

He is due to have an u/s and function test at the hospital soon. He's quite excited about it.

He also spent a Saturday morning with his mum running a parkrun 5km. He did fabulous. Just a couple of very short walking breaks but a lovely time of 37mins. I was beaming with pride.
He is also enjoying cycling with his daddy, although they appeared to have overdone it a bit in Richmond park.

School sports day was fun to watch at school again. This time the baby brother was watching too. Football has come to an end and he was awarded his first little award. He managed his 3rd tag in Judo and the next tooth is wobbly waiting to fall out.
