April summary

Right, April was a busy months and started with us in A&E for a potential broken thumb after the baby got it stuck in the conservatory door. It looked very bad, so late afternoon, the brothers and I drove off. But luckily it was just bruised. However, we did bring home a vomiting/diarrhoea bug which we all suffered from, including the baby who got it worst. So badly that in fact we had the paramedics out one morning as he was so weak. Blood sugars were a little low but thankfully we got it all sorted again. It took over a week though for him to be able to keep food in his tummy. Then he was getting better for a couple of days before a 40 fever started. After 3 doctor visits and 3 lots of antibiotics he finally got over his tonsillitis, chest infection and conjunctivitis. All this led to him losing a pound of weight. It was tough on all of us, but his big brother has been absolutely brilliant and helped us every step along.

The baby really enjoys feeding himself but also other people. It is such a joy to him when he manages to give you a bite of something. He lifts his arms to be picked up now and when on your arm will push your chin to the direction he wants you to look at.

We had a lovely time all together over Easter, including 2 days in Chessington. The boys enjoyed their stay one night in bunk beds in a hotel away from home. The little one also had tomatoe pasta with Parmesan cheese (which we didn't know at the time). And he did not have any tummy problems. So is his allergy maybe gone?!

Also, with Mama soon returning to work and our childminder unable to have the boys, we had to make some drastic decisions. That means interviewing nannies. And we think we found somebody perfect.

The big brother has learned how to fry eggs  on 27/04 and he enjoyed it. He's now helping with Sunday breakfast every week.

The little one was happily cruising along and took his first unaided step onto box 26/04/14. Not long now till he will walk on his own. So we got him his first pair of shoes on 27-04-14.
