Summer!

Summer has finally arrived and we have lovely weather.

The big boy and daddy went camping last night in our garden. At the moment still asleep in their tent, I can't wait to hear how they got on. They even had the telescope with them to watch the moon and stars.

We had a chance to see the big boy at school yesterday for his Sports day. Well done on all the races, including egg & spoon, fancy dress race, water race and sprints. But what a heat... Mama got sunburnt. Daddy did also very well at the 3-legged race.

The big boy is now wearing glasses and looks very smart and grown-up. Hopefully his vision will settle so that his eyes are not quite as affected as they are now. So to help him wear his glasses consistently, Mama will receive her glasses today as well.

The little one has been a little miserable the last couple of days, but we think we know why. Yesterday afternoon his BCG jab blister burst. The amount of pus that came out, poor baby! The wound looks a lot nicer this morning and the redness is gone. Hopefully we will have a happy baby again.

As of yesterday evening, the little one has given us beautiful smiles. So pretty in fact that I could not resist to get up with him at 4.30am as he was cooing and smiling to me. Just now he is sitting in his swinging chair and cooing again.
The little one also spent his first night in his own cotbed. Mama and Papa were quite anxious but it was so nice to have more space in bed again. ;-) And you did really well.

The big brother has now applied for Junior membership of the Judo Association. It seems like he is now getting the confidence and also some skill to really enjoy his Saturday lessons.
We are also still going swimming and he is now a stage 2 swimmer learning how to confidently swim on his front and back without any floating supports.

The little one loves "standing" on his legs while leaning on us. He is a strong baby.
I am also really pleased to say that he is gaining weight just fine and is exclusively breastfed. Now we just need some extra hours sleep at night, although we had a couple of occasions of 4 hours uninterrupted rest :-).

Also, today is our 7th wedding anniversary. Definitely reason to celebrate. :-)
